Non-Toxic Spring Makeup Look

SPRINGMAKEUP.png

I'm sharing my favorite spring look with you today - complete with PINK lips, of course. I think every spring makeup look I've ever done has featured a pink lipstick. I've also returned to a super easy eyeshadow technique that helps the eye look more open and awake. AKA - a mom's best friend. As always, all products used are non-toxic and all natural, most are organic. If you want to know more about my standard for choosing ingredients, read my manifesto here.

This video is also a collaboration with Ailish, from The Glow Getter. Make sure to check out her video and her offerings. She's a UK based green beauty blogger, makeup artist and an all around ray of sunshine human being.

Bright + Easy Summer Makeup ft. Nu Evolution

You know me, a sucker for a bold lip - no matter the season! This time, I have a fun, really quick and easy summer look with a bright pop of fruit punch pink. I think pink is a less intimidating bright lip option than say, orange. The beauty of this pink lipstick is that it can be worn really sheer which gives a beautiful fruit punch like stain or build it up the way I did in the video.

You'll notice that I am using a lot of products from the brand Nu Evolution. I have to say, I have yet to try anything that isn't high quality, high performance and high pigment and I can't wait to try more! The line is formulated with makeup artists in mind and has even been used on fashion week runways! Even better - it's made with all natural and some organic ingredients. It is also free of all the ingredients I don't want to put on my skin like parabens, phthlates, mineral oil and even propylene glycol and phenoxyethanol (and more!). High performance + Pure Ingredients = Pure Gold.

Spring Essentials

Spring has finally sprung! I love nothing more than pairing pastels in the spring, but that's not all I feel are essentials for the season.

1. Pink Lipstick. There's nothing like a pop of pink for spring. Top Pick: Honest Beauty Peony Kiss.

2. Glowing Skin. Let's be real, glowing skin is never out of season! From a cream blush, to a serious highlight and a glowing bronzer, I've got you covered.  Top Picks: W3LL People Dusty Rose Universalist Stick, Silk Naturals Limoncello Highlight, Teri Miyahira Beauty Bronzer.

3. Nude Nails. I gravitate towards No Miss Daytona Sand each spring.

4. Flats, galore! If you live in a cold climate like I do, I'm guessing your flats have also been in hibernation all winter. My favorites are a great pair of Van's metallic slip ons and a chic pointy toe pair from Target.

5. Switch up your scents. While I love my coconut body scrub from 100% Pure for winter because it's deep and rich, I tend to prefer a lighter scent for spring and summer. Top Picks: Lime Essential Oil (for diffusing), 100% Pure Blood Orange Body Lotion.
